Monitor TVLogic

Working with Canon 5D Mark II, we view the problem as plugging in an external monitor, the camera not only reduces the quality to 480p, but the picture does not fill the entire screen. Since half a year working with seven-Lilliput and honestly admit that I find just the image minus the asset. When I connect to him, Canon 7D, which displays the image in full screen, my bad films, because the Lilliput is too close to the face, which means that it is too big for me (of course, everything depends on the position in which they work.) Reduced image of the 5D is ideal for work such as Rigi. Only that the monitor itself occupies a relatively large space. LCD Pięciocalowy however, would be a better option.

In the market, from what I know, there are four monitors of this size that scale image - Ruige (resolution 800x480 - price $ 380 - $ 1100), Bon5DII (resolution 800x480 - price $ 420), SmallHD DP6 (resolution 1280x800 - price $ 900 - $ 1300) and TVLogic (resolution 1280x800 - price around $ 1400). There is a seven -LCD70XP Marshall V-HDMIPT (800x480).

With the Korean Company TVLogic and Polish distributor Twenty4seven , to test the monitor got TVLogic VFM-056W. Courier brought a fairly large box, which contained a box with monitor and accessories. Statement looks a little funny boxes with the size of the LCD. But I must admit that everything inside has been elegantly and securely packaged. Hence, the box itself is very slick.

The monitor looks perfect and specially designed to work with SLRs. First of all, it is very light (280g). The following comparison of the Lilliput 7 ".

The rear panel include power switch and two buttons "Menu / Source" and "Function". First, go into the menu and select the input source, the second select display options (the "User Aspect" - the possibility of his own settings, "Zero Scan" - output signal, "Over Scan" - a slight increase, and "Pixel to Pixel").

Cable for power supply and install the video at the bottom of the monitor. Image, we can let the connector component, SDI and HDMI.

Holes 1 / 4 "have been placed on the four sides of the monitor (the sides, top and bottom), which is very convenient for mounting on the arm - magic arm (tomorrow will put the information on these handles.)

Navigating the menu wheel on the right side of the monitor. Choosing pushing them to accept. The same menu is clear and easy to master. There are seven panels (the image of a monitor in the pictures is a little contrasty, a little blurry because I was asked to assume the orphanages with plexiglass screen.) In the first set includingbrightness, contrast, chroma, and the second color temperature.

An interesting and useful solution is the option marker. Displays kaszetę depending on the aspect ratio that you choose: 4:3, 15:9, 14:9, 13:9, 1.85:1, 2.35:1. Kaszeta may be in different shades of black, which makes it more or less transparent. You can also get rid of kaszety and display the markers in a line - at the disposal of several colors (including red, white, green and gray).

On the following pages we include zoom option to disable the color, the inclusion of only blue. Scan Function enables us to set image: "User Aspect", "Zero Scan", "Over Scan" and "Pixel to Pixel". Canon 5D Mark II displays the greatest picture in the "User Aspect (1280x800 with settings), but still we will see black bars (full screen described below). After pressing the REC we have one-second lag (delay). Canon 7D displays the correct picture in all of these settings, and when switched on GH2 Lumix Zero Scan.

In working with the Canon 5D Mark II DSLR is the most important function of SCALE, through which the image completely fills the screen.

Another board will only work in a more expensive model is VFM-056WP. Here you can check the correctness of the exposure (and Y waveform Level Check).

In addition to the more complex version of the monitor has, among others HDMI loop-out (for example, we may release a signal to the second monitor), 3G-SDI and timecode displays. Below the other parties a copy of the menu screen, which I received for testing.

The set, which I received, only the adapter has been attached to a battery V-Lock, which will credit the monitor. However, you can also buy an adapter for the batteries from Sony, Panasonic, Canon, and the battery cells.

Monitor TVLogic VFM-056W is a fully professional equipment to work not only with the SLR. Many operators are not enough images of a small camera's LCD and posiłkują to plan an extra monitor. I recommend to all those to whom it is important to the comforts and convenience. The company is a large producer of TVLogic professional monitors broadcasting, so he knows exactly what they need professionals.
